1. How will yoga benefit my child?

Answer: Yoga's benefits include increased awareness, self-regulation (ability to contol one's emotions), focus and flexibility.  Yoga also increases relaxation, improves digestion and self-esteem.

2. What does my child bring to class?

Answer: Just themselves!  And a bottle of water for after class.  I provide the mat and all necessary props.

3. Do you provide sessions to teenagers?

Answer:  Absolutely!  I've worked with several teenagers through the years.  My sessions are built upon ability and interests, not age.

4. How often should my child practice yoga?

Answer: To start, I would recommend 1/week and slowly build to 2-3 times/week; yoga is a practice and you will see improvements the more your child practices.

5. Do you offer group classes?

Answer: Not at this time.  My individual sessions allow for personalized attention and support.  The group setting, which has additional benefits to include socialization, should be structured to ensure all participant's needs are taken into consideration and being met.  This can be achicved once I've gotten to know all of my students.

6. What should my child wear to class?

Answer: Loose, comfortable clothing.  Socks are optional during class.

7. What is your cancellation policy?

Answer: I work, have kids and understand that a day can start one way and go another!  However, I do have to plan so I do have a 12 hour cancellation policy.  Less than 12 hours will result in forfeiture of the session.

8. Can I observe the session?

Answer:  It is important for your child to be able to focus during the session. Some children become distracted with a parent in the room.  While I certainly welcome you to sit in, should it become an issue,  I will ask you to step outside.   Please note: no phones, computers, tablets or the like are allowed in the yoga studio.  If you wish to observe, you must leave all technology outside in your car.

9.  Do your session expire?

Answer: Yes, 90 days from the date of purchase.  The sessions are also non-transferable and non-refundable.

10. I don't live in Scottsdale, will you travel?

Answer: This will be determined on a case by case basis.  Travel time will be an additional charge, depending on location.

11. What payment options do you have?

Answer:  I take Class Wallet, paypal, square and cash.  For those utilizing the Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA), yoga falls under the physical education category.

12.  I am interested!  How do I begin?

Answer:  For pricing and scheduling, please contact me at 602-738-8448 or fill out the contact form and I will get back to you.
